The month of December was taken over by the festivities of Chanukah. We began the month with an outstanding ventriloquist, Jonathan Geffner. He entertained the parents and students, young and old with marvelous characters from today and told the story of Hanukkah while inputting humor. Everyone appreciated the generous contribution the Sisterhood made in order to make this event possible. In addition to the school smelling like a latke factory each night the Religious school was in session, parents joined their children for lighting the Hanukiyah, singing songs and enjoying the festivities. The high school students had a discussion with Rabbi Glazer about the December Dilemma and then students moved into the kitchen to make cookies and latkes. As we move into the months of the winter we hope to stay warm with the upcoming family Havdallah Service on Saturday, January 30th.
