The JCCH will again be participating in the UJA-Federation Families Feeding Families program to benefit the Bronx Jewish Community Council Food Pantry. Both kosher and non-kosher canned and packaged non-perishable foods are welcomed (no glass or expired items, please). Particularly needed are baby food; boxed milk and coffee cream; canned fruits and vegetables; canned meat and fish; cereals, cookies and crackers; coffee, tea and hot chocolate; pasta, rice and instant potatoes; soup and tomato sauce; raisins, prunes, dried fruit and nuts; vinegar, oil, salad dressing, ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise. The need for food is critical this year, so please be generous. Donations can be left at the bins located at the Religious School and Main Entrances and in the ECC. The drive will take place from Monday, January 4 through Thursday, January 28. Please email Leni Klaimitz at
