Julia Wiener: Julia is a 7th grader at Rye Country Day School. She is an enthusiastic, mature and passionate young woman. Julia loves hanging out with her family and friends, some of whom she has known since she began in the 2 year old program at the JCCH. Julia plays tennis, basketball and lacrosse for the RCDS teams. Julia’s greatest joy is performing. She has been in several plays and musicals. For the past 2 years, Julia has been performing with the JCC of Mid Westchester’s Mitzvah Troupe. The Troupe performs at nursing homes, hospitals and recently at BB King for “Rockers on Broadway” to benefit the children of Haiti. Julia is also involved with City Year, a not-for-profit organization that mentors children. With City Year, she has participated in several beautification projects in inner city schools. Julia spends her summers at Camp Pinecliffe, her home away from home. Julia loves camp and treasures all of her life long friendships she has formed.Julia is an amazing sister and role model to her brother, Zachary and sisters, Olivia and Zoe. Julia is so excited to celebrate her Bat Mitzvah and share her special day with her sister Zoe’s baby naming. She would like to thank everyone who has helped her reach this milestone, including her parents, Rabbi Glazer, Cantor Singer and the teachers at the JCCH pre-school and religious school. We are all so proud of Julia and the woman she has become.
