Zoe Mittman: Zoe is a seventh grade honor student at the LMK middle school.  She is an ambitious, competent, bright young lady.  She is an avid athlete and played on both the LMK modified field hockey and lacrosse teams, running winter track to keep in shape.  In her free time she can be found playing tennis, bike riding, drawing and enjoying lots of hanging out time with her family and large circle of friends.  Zoe’s home away from home for the past 5 summers is Trails End Camp in Beach Lake, Pa. Zoe’s Mitzvah project has centered around the Pediatric Cancer Foundation.  Zoe spent over 100 hours meticulously designing and decorating 100 hats for pediatric oncology patients so that during their treatment they can feel good about themselves and sport a beautiful cap.  Zoe was fortunate to hand deliver these hats to the various hospitals PCF supports.  Zoe’s Torah portion’s message is that if you have faith everything will work be okay.  Zoe exemplifies her portion by helping sick children have faith that people are working on their behalf to help them through their illness.  Zoe is looking forward to sharing her Bat Mitzvah with all of her friends and family.  She gives a special thanks to her big brother Noah, who after his Bar Mitzvah last March provided her with all the guidance and support she needed to prepare for her Bat Mitzvah.  And also to younger siblings Sophie and Joshua for being the “pretend congregation” every night for the past 8 months.  The entire Mittman Family is grateful to Rabbi Glazer, Cantor Singer, Amichai Margolis, Judy Weinberg and all of Zoe’s Hebrew School teachers for helping her reach this wonderful milestone.
