Sue NeedlemanSusan Needleman joined the JCCH in 1992 as Executive Director. To keep the synagogue running both harmoniously and efficiently, Susan serves as liaison between the professional staff and the congregation. Susan's duties also include the organization of the synagogue events calendar, the timely distribution of the synagogue news and the supervision of financial and administrative office personnel. Susan also serves as editor of the Scribe. Susan was born in Birmingham, England. She immigrated to the U.S. in 1950 and spent her childhood in Forest Hills, Queens. A graduate of Hunter College, Susan now lives in Larchmont and has three daughters

Judy Weinberg, Religious School Educational Director PDF Print E-mail

Judy WeinbergJudy arrives to the JCCH after spending a year participating in the Melton Senior Educators program at Hebrew University with other educators from around the world. Prior to Israel, Judy was the Educational Director of Temple Sinai in Roslyn, NY as well as Temple Reyim, in Newton, MA.

Although Judy is American born, she grew up in Israel. After serving as a soldier in the Israeli Air Force and receiving her Bachelors degree from Hebrew University in Jerusalem Judy returned to the United States to work as Director of Student Activities at Brandeis Hillel were she received her first Masters degree in Management for Non Profit Organizations. She continued to receive a second Masters degree in Jewish Education from Hebrew College.

Judy’s philosophy of Jewish education strives to provide a Jewish education in a warm and inviting environment. An environment in which children and parents enjoy coming to synagogue be it for Hebrew school, a family program or Services. Judy believes that we must offer our families a rich foundation and a wealth of information and knowledge in a creative, fun, hands-on and interesting format that engages the minds of our the current and future generation.

Nancy Isaacs, Early Childhood Director PDF Print E-mail

 Nancy IsaacsNancy Isaacs joined the JCCH in June, 1997 as Early Childhood Director.  Nancy received her BA in psychology from Syracuse University and her MA in Early Childhood Elementary Education from the College of New Rochelle. Nancy serves on the board of the Jewish Early Childhood Association (JECA).  Previously, Nancy was an early childhood teacher as well as developer and coordinator of early childhood enrichment curriculum.  She believes that early childhood is the gateway to Judaism for young children and their families and provides a warm, rich and stimulating environment for early learning and participation.
